1. I'm not sure I uderstand your question correctly, but I used to be a Production Planner. Production planning would be a task that would benefit from workflow technology, because the job of the planner is to schedule what to build, how much to build and when to build. The workflow of production has a big impact on whether or not product ships out the door on time. I hope this answered your question.
