  1. your an retard
  2. You have to format the drive then install your o.s.
  3. You have to reformat your computer. Why you have two o.s.'s is beyond me, its not healthy for your computer. OR If the o.s.'s are partitioned separately then you can just delete the one you dont want. That way you get the extra space that the other o.s. was taking up. Be warned though, deleting a partition will remove all files, documents, etc, so you will never be able to recover it. O.S. = Operating System (ie XP and Vista)
  4. Both of the error messages you have described are tell-tale signs of a faulty hard drive. I would suggest that you take this opportunity to upgrade the hard drive on the laptop. Clearly you are going to have to reload Windows anyway with the error messages you are getting, you might as well upgrade your hard drive while you are at it and save yourself having to go through the entire process twice if it turns out the hard drive is in fact faulty. Does anyone know if thnkpads have a built in hard drive diagnostic similar to that on Dells?
  5. Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new softwares, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes .
