How can I format a laptop having two operating systems (Windows Home Edition & Windows XP Professional) on it?
I tried formatting from the two operating systems but it kept telling it could not complete the formatting process!

- You cannot format a disk using a program running from that disk. You must either use a boot CD or a boot disk that has a formatting program on it. You can format disks using the Windows installation CDs.
- You will need to repartition and format first. Boot from the XP disk inserted in the CD drive. Then, when you get to the appropriate part, DELETE all the partitions. Then you can reformat it. There is also a possibility that your hard drive is bad and it cant be formatted.
