How do I use databases to make an inventory?
I am interested in making a database with all my items. I want to include a picture of the item in the database. I am using Open Office and would like to create something where I can view all my items. I really want to learn what a database is capable of. If anyone could point me in the right direction to learn the basics about databases and what can be done with them would be much appreciated. Thank you.

- Databases store data. You can query the database to display a single bit of data or an entire record (like one persons' name, address, phone, etc) or a group of records (like all sales made on 3/01/2007) Here's a tutorial on Open Office database: http://sheepdogguides.com/fdb/fdb1main.htm
