Databases??

For English class, we are writing a persuasive research essay, and I need two more sources. She doesnt want us to Google them, she wants us to get information off of databases. We have them at school, but I am at home, and I need them by next class time. (which is the day after tomorrow). So my question is: Does anyone know of a decent database? I might have to get an account somewhere, and that's okay, I just need something that it's simple to get an account and will give me decent information. My topic is that we should have more of a free period instead of our SIP time, which is like a 2-hour study hall for us. I think it would be more beneficial, so that's my question. I just didnt really mention any specifics, because sometimes people take that to mean I am looking for answers or someone to do my homework for me. I'm not, I just need a place to get the information. And when we have the data, we are supposed to print it out, highlight the importants parts, and then make note cards. I know what to do with it, and the info I need, I just need a decent database to get it from. A link would be great.

  1. LexisNexis Academic.
  2. There are MILLIONS of databases and billions of bits of data in every database. WHAT is it that you want to talk about, you are not at all clear on the matter. Getting "information" off of a database is meaningless unless you are asked to put the data into some meaningful sense. Data for the sake of data is really worthless. I THINK you may have missed a part of the assignment...like the protocol for selectig the subject matter and what you are supposed to do with the data once you have it. Remember the old computer database programing quip "GIGO" or garbage IN, garbage OUT. That is where you are headed.
