What is the best, most effective programming language?
I want to know where the top games today came from. What program do the programmers use to create new games today. What is the most powerful programming language? C++, Java, DarkBasic?!?! Let me know, thanks.

- I don't do game programming but i do like Delphi and C#
- C++ is the mother of all(considering that few people work nowadays with object oriented)...
- Most major games are written in either C or C++. John Carmack - creator of many ID games (wolfenstein, quake, doom, etc.) - writes his game engines in exclusively C AFAIK. He is a C coding god.
